These craftsmen and women have combined their skills to create the Caliber 9R01, the first Micro Artist Studio movement developed exclusively for Grand Seiko. Developed based on the combination of the brand philosophy and the inquisitive spirit of the studio, Caliber 9R01 uses a mechanism in which three barrels achieve an extended eight-day power reserve. This ensures the high precision of the movement over a long period of time. The movement is polished and finished beautifully by master craftsmen. The elegant form of the 18K rose gold case is made possible by the superior polishing techniques. The dial evokes the starry sky as seen above the mountains of Shinshu.
