In close collaboration with the Louvre Museum, Vacheron Constantin pays homage to the great civilizations of Antiquity. Those chosen were the Persian Empire of Darius I, Egypt in the time of the pharaohs, the Hellenistic Greece of the successors of Alexander the Great, and imperial Rome. Each of these eras is represented by an iconic work kept in the Louvre Museum, reproduced in the form of a miniature sculpted applique in gold. Showcasing this remarkable engraving, each era reveals a sub-dial decorated with motifs taken from the decorative arts of the same period.
