Originally introduced in 2015 to celebrate MB&F’s 10th anniversary, the HMX revisited automotive inspiration with a more compact and playful approach. This Performance Art edition – the HMX Black Badger, created in collaboration with James Thompson, aka Black Badger – builds on that concept through the use of his signature high-efficiency solid lume. Milled from solid blocks of luminous material, the “engine cover” transforms the HMX Black Badger dramatically at night. In the Purple Reign edition, the luminous glow gives the movement a vivid purple light, turning the Machine into a kinetic light sculpture after dark.
