This modern reinterpretation of the 62GS, Grand Seiko’s first automatic watch, depicts a beautiful moment in the ever-changing seasons in Japan. In a first for a 62GS that is not a limited edition, 18k rose gold has been used to craft the case. The warm pink patterned dial shines with a brilliance that enhances the watch’s beauty, representing a scene in which snow has covered the cherry blossoms, known as sakura-kakushi . With the warmth of the rose gold case and the shimmering of the dial, it is easy to imagine the snow-covered cherry blossoms glistening in the bright morning sun of early spring. The brown leather strap, which is symbolic of a tree trunk, adds to an atmosphere of beautiful calm. The watch’s movement is the Hi-Beat Caliber 9S85, which grants more stable precision, reducing variations in accuracy.
