Developed with Jean-François Mojon of Chronode, the Calibre SXH6 reimagines the traditional architecture of a split-seconds chronograph. Instead of concealing its complexity, the movement is turned inside-out, placing the rattrapante mechanism prominently on the dial side. At its centre, a tripod bridge supports a patented satellite minute train alongside the split-seconds system. The structure is balanced by two column wheels, one positioned at 12 o’clock for the chronograph, the other at 6 o’clock for the split-seconds. This open layout reveals every stage of operation: from the engagement of the horizontal clutch to the precise action of the clamps, and the coordinated interplay of both column wheels. The result is a movement that is not only functional, but visually expressive and deeply architectural. A glance at the SHX6, Czapek’s proprietary calibre created in collaboration with Chronode, is a work of art from the mechanical and aesthetic standpoint.
