For the 12 th consecutive year, Chopard Manufacture honors the Day of the Dead with a special edition of its L.U.C Full Strike timepiece, blending Fine Watchmaking with vibrant cultural homage. Crafted in 18-carat ethical white gold and measuring 42.5 by 11.55 mm, the case features hand-engraved motifs inspired by graphic Mexican traditions, while the bezel is set with baguette-cut emeralds. At the center of this creation is a dial brought to life by an Artisan enameler: the skull motif – or calavera in Spanish – is composed of champlevé white gold surrounded by green Grand Feu enamel, with hammers and power-reserve indicators forming the eye sockets, the teeth in white enamel, and a sunburst guilloché gold background completing the joyful composition. Echoing the artistic tradition of vanitas, the calavera serves as a reminder that all beautiful things are destined to fade.
