About this reference
Pioneering designer Louis Cartier imagined the Tortue watch, a tortoise-inspired shape, in 1912. At a time when all watches were round, the groundbreaking design went on to become a classic. Cartier offers both ladies' and men's models in a full range of styles, available in gold, at times set or fully paved with diamonds. Tortue watch, large model, mechanical movement with automatic winding, caliber 430 MC. Platinum 950/1000 case set with 46 baguette-cut diamonds totaling 2.7 carats, platinum 950/1000 crown set with a 0.06-carat diamond. Guilloché dial, silvered Roman numeral hour-markers, silvered rhodiumized apple-shaped hands, sapphire crystal. Gray and navy blue alligator leather straps, rhodiumized 18K white gold (750/1000) ardillon buckle set with 32 baguette-cut diamonds totaling 0.63 carats. Case dimensions: 41 x 33 mm. Thickness: 7.2 mm. Water-resistant up to 3 bar (approx. 30 meters/100 feet).
